#HClassBlog - “My Adidas Shoes are Cursed with 3rd Place” - June, 5, 2026

Introduction:  If you don’t know me already, I’m Saqeef, and I have written the #HClass25 blog once before! I enjoy playing sports like badminton, volleyball, and soccer! And my favourite food is gnocchi, a kind of Italian pasta! The Rose: On Wednesday, May 27, Muslims all around the school and the world celebrated the Islamic holiday Eid al-Adha! Eid al-Adha is the final day of the first 10 days of Dhul Hijjah, the final month of the Islamic calendar. Muslims believe that these 10 days are the best of the year because the Islamic god, Allah (Subhana wa ta’ala), loves good deeds the most in these 10 days. The Thorn: Most grade 7’s in the school had to take mandatory vaccines for diseases. In other words, needles went up a bunch of poor kid’s arms… Luckily, everyone who got their shots pulled through, and have survived the pain! #HClassBlog - "Where's My Chicken? I need it" - May 25, 2026

"Where's my chicken? I need it." - overheard in class last week. Introduction: Hello everyone! My name is Tomoya, and this week, I will be writing the blog for #HClass25 for the second time. I am a Grade 7 student at Sir Arthur Currie and I enjoy playing soccer, baseball, volleyball, badminton, basketball, playing outside and spending time with my friends. The Rose: Our teacher candidate Mr. Teixeira had his final test, which was teaching us in front of his supervisor from his Nippising University. We were thrilled to hear that he passed with a score of 98. Now he has finished for the year and is working up in North Bay and getting paid to teach. Congratulations! The Thorn: Our third and final teacher candidate, Mr. Teixeira left after being with us for a total of eight weeks. He first came in February for four weeks and left, but he got a chance to come back for another four weeks. We hope he has an amazing career for teaching. We will all miss him.   Introduction:  Hello everyone! My name is Josiah, and this week, I will be writing the blog for #HClass25 for the second time. I am a Grade 7 student at Sir Arthur Currie and I enjoy playing video games, sprinting, and playing sports 🏀🏃 🎮 . I enjoy going to church on Sundays. ✝️ The Rose: Grade 6’s, 7’s and 8’s spent all day outside participating in track & field. Because of this, we had no classwork and we were able to have fun, socialize and be active for the whole day! 🏃‍ The Thorn:  It was a great week, no thorn to report. The Bud: Next week, is our Spring Concert. #HClassBlog - “I like the Avenger’s theme because it goes NEREOM” - May 4, 2026

Introduction:  Hello everyone! My name is Tanisa, and this week, I will be writing the blog for #HClass25. I am a Grade 7 student at Sir Arthur Currie and I enjoy crocheting, playing piano and playing badminton. The Rose: This week, a flautist from the London Symphonia visited our school and performed for us. She played a beautiful piece of music that was actually composed just for her, which made the performance even more special. One of the most interesting parts was when she showed us advanced techniques, like playing two notes at the same time, which not many musicians can do. She also answered questions alongside the composer, which taught us more about them and helped us understand more about the music. It was a unique and enjoyable experience that many students found both fun and inspiring! The Bud: Track and field is coming up next week, and everyone is getting ready! #HClassBlog - An Olympic Medal is Heavy - April 30, 2026

Introduction:  Hello everyone! My name is Julia, and this week, I will be writing the blog for #HClass25. I am a Grade 7 student at Sir Arthur Currie and I enjoy spending time with friends and family, playing soccer and going to the beach.  The Rose: This week we had an OLYMPIAN visit our school! Canadian curler Sarah Wilkes came to talk a little bit about herself and we were lucky enough to see her bronze medal. She shared stories about her training and the challenges her team faced in Milan and Cortina, Italy - including a snow storm that nearly stranded them in a bus on the way to a match.  Ahmed and Reese check out an Olympic Bronze Medal. Introduction:  Hello everyone! My name is Hera, and this week, I will be writing the blog for #HClass25. I am a Grade 7 student at Sir Arthur Currie and I enjoy spending time with my friends, playing volleyball and practicing karate. The Rose: This week our class went to the park for our gym period! We had lots of fun playing soccer, volleyball and badminton outside and enjoyed the nice weather this week. The Thorn: Unfortunately, our classmate, Hadley, has been sick for a few weeks. Introduction:  Hello everyone! My name is Oba, and this week, I will be writing the blog for #HClass25. I am a Grade 6 student at Sir Arthur Currie and I enjoy playing video games, basketball and watching the series One Piece . The Rose: The rose of this week is the way our class continued to show excellent self regulation. We also found out the movie we will be seeing for our year end trip is The Mandalorian And Grogu.
