Introduction:  Hello everyone! My name is Maddox, and this week, I will be writing the blog for #HClass25. I am a Grade 7 student at Sir Arthur Currie and I enjoy playing hockey, fishing (especially), golfing, riding my dirt bike (and soon to be an e-bike), exploring, shopping, and hanging out with friends & family. The Rose: We learned that our old teacher candidate Mr. Teixeira was coming back to our class to help out again. Mr. Teixeira was our teacher candidate back in February for several months. He came to us from Nipissing University, and we are excited to welcome him back. 😀 The Thorn: Most of the week we couldn't go on the field due to the muddy conditions that we've been having 😡. Lets hope it gets better. The Bud: Next week we are looking forward to Easter weekend 🎉. (HAPPY EASTER to anyone who is celebrating). Literacy Leanings: This week we were working on our Six word stories. We were challenged to summarize the best parts of our March Break into a six wor...

Introduction:  Hello everyone! My name is Tomoya, and this week, I will be writing the blog for #HClass25. I am a Grade #7 student at Sir Arthur Currie and I enjoy playing a lot of sports, like soccer, baseball, volleyball, basketball, and badminton. I also like playing video games with my friends. The Rose: We are finally hitting spring weather. (It may be a fake spring, but that's okay) It is getting warmer and snow is starting to melt. We can take our jackets and boots off and change to sweaters and shoes. Also, badminton tryouts started. We were eager for this to start. The Thorn: The thorn of this week was our teacher candidate leaving. He stayed with us for four weeks. For us and him, it felt more like 4 days. We will never forget him and the lessons he taught us. Mr. Teixeira teaching us in gym. The Bud: Ou r bud is that March Break is coming up. After March break there are only three and a half months left of school. We are happy to move on to a new grade, some in grade 7 o...

Hello everyone! My name is Saqeef, and this week, I will be writing the blog for #HClass25. I am a Grade 7 student at Sir Arthur Currie and I enjoy playing sports like volleyball, badminton, and soccer, and I play the trombone, the piano, and the guitar!  For the FIRST TIME EVER in Sir Arthur Currie P.S. history, our boys volleyball team won the Valley Finals! The boys worked hard and never gave up, and all the work paid off. Three people in our class are on the team. Jackson, Deyaa, and me! Here is a photo of the team! Badminton season will be starting up soon, the grade 7’s and 8’s of Sir Arthur Currie will be trying out for the team! We have been learning about algebra, and isolating variables to find a value. A phrase that our class constantly says is, “A letter is a variable, and a variable is a letter.” A variable represents a value that changes and varies, hence the name. We also learned what monomial expressions are along with algebra! To celebrate Black History Month, our ...
