Introduction ~
Hello, my name is Muhab and I will be writing the class blog for the week! I love playing basketball, my favorite subject is gym and literacy. My favorite NBA team are the Golden State Warriors and my favorite player has got to be Kawhi Leonard. I enjoy listening to music in my free time and I’m looking forward to writing the blog about the past 2 weeks - well, there was Family Day and a Snow Day in there, so really just 7 days!

The Roses ~
The rose for this week is definitely going on a field trip to SAB and watching a theatrical play, it was based on Disney’s show called The Descendants and it was very well acted, my favorite character was Doug because of his very funny dialogue, overall it was a nice show that we all enjoyed and lightened up the week.

The Thorn ~
This week, for the thorn I would say that the badminton tryouts were pretty difficult as the coach is mostly picking grade 8’s and although we had a couple students make the first cut, it will be challenging for my fellow grade sevens to make the team. Only 4 boys and 4 girls are getting picked to go to regionals, good luck goes to our friends trying out!

The Bud ~
There are 2 buds for the upcoming weeks. First, we will be starting the hip hop lesson that Mr. H has been preparing, we were supposed to fit it into February for Black History Month, but we had other things to attend to and we couldn’t get to it in time, but we are excited that we will be finally starting it. As a fan of music myself, I am looking forward towards this unit. For the second bud, our snowshoes are done. We are hoping for a dump of snow (weather says it might happen Friday) so we can do our snowshoe race and, if we do, we’re praying that our team will win the race!
Science ~
In Science, we are learning about solutions and mixtures, specifically the particle theory. The particle theory consists of 6 rules which have been turned into an acronym, ‘ISHAME’ I for Identical, S for Spaces, H for Heat, A for Attract, M for Motion and E for Everything. You can see these rules listed below.
Quick Hits ~
- We wrote 6 Word Stories about our Family Day Weekend. Can you tell a story in 6 Words?
