"I'll have your head on a platter!" - Sulaiman (in jest) - June 5, 2022
~Introduction ~
Welcome back to another blog; this week's blogger will be me, Margarita. Before we get started, a few things about me: In school, my favourite subjects are Maths and Language, and in my free time I enjoy sketching and hanging out with my friends.

~The Rose ~
We are in the home stretch. June has arrived and things have become much more relaxed. We still have a few things to complete, but the end is in sight. We were also excited to learn that Year End Trips are now allowed. We haven't had one in two years because of Covid. This year we are heading to Fleetway for a day of bowling, mini-golf, pizza and laughter.~The Thorn ~
After millions of hours of practice and a lot of blood, sweat, and tears, the dance was once again cancelled. Let me explain why. Miss Frassinnelli, our Dance & French teacher, is a fantastic choreographer with incredible talent, but we haven't been able to present it to the school. There have been unavoidable cancellations and even a rainy/stormy day. The universe appears to be working against us, but one thing I learned as one of her dancing students is that no matter what, you never give up. Therefore I have faith that we will be able to perform our dance to the school before the end of June.

Track and Field
As a member of the track and field team, I believe it is essential to practise, and my teammates realize this. Practising takes a lot of time and physical strength, both of which are tough to develop, but with enough effort, you can succeed and reach your objectives. Particularly because you have a Track and Field meet on June 7th.

~Literacy and Drama Links ~
Financial literacy
We are travelling to any place in the world, but unfortunately not for real:(
We started financial literacy and we are learning about currency exchange. You have a partner or you work alone and pick a place where you want to exchange CDN to (your preferable place) my partner and I choose Korea. Our seven day trip would cost us in 52714386.00 Korean Won, which is abut 53,400 Canadian Dollars.
~Drama~
Our main drama activities are done for the year and everybody passed with a grade of 75%. If we want, we can choose to raise that grade by presenting another dramatic performance of our choice for the class. We can memorize a monologue or prepare a physical performance with no dialogue. We can choose to participate in the Improv Games that are coming next week or we can even prepare a lip sync battle.
~Mathematical Mentions ~
Everything in maths continues to fascinate me, from formulas to equations, and all challenges have a solution.
We started learning/solving the surface area and volume of a cylinder this week, which is something I've never done before. If you remember formulas like Volume - πr2 x h Surface Area - 2πr2 x 2πr2h, you'll be okay, during the lessons.
So that's it for me, thanks for reading.
