Classroom Quote of the week: "What did Woody say?”in reference to Damian Woody, former NFL Football Player and ESPN analyst who helps us make predictions in our Football Pool.
Song of the Week: - Beat It - Michael Jackson. We played this song since Eddie Van Halen did the guitar on the track and he died of throat cancer. We talked about his dedication to his instrument and the hours of practice it took to become a master musician. Check out this close-up of his guitar solo.
All about meI´m Mikul. I´m a student in this class. I like technology, programming, and Minecraft.
The Best Thing About This Week (The Rose)The Mystery Meet on Friday went well. We found our Mystery Class in Delton, Michigan in fewer than 20 questions.
We also did a Mystery Search using a program called Padlet and found another school near Tampa Bay, Florida.
The Worst Thing About This Week (The Thorn)
The worst thing was probably how two people in a kindergarten class tested positive for COVID-19. As a result, we only had 9 students in our class on Friday and only 10 on Tuesday. Hopefully, things will be back to normal soon.
Mathematic Mentions
We tried using open number lines to find difference in subtraction. We also continued solving logic puzzles in class.
Literacy Links
We worked on memes in class about Chromebook Rules and COVID experiences. You can see our Chromebook Memes here and our COVID experience memes here.
We each picked a song released before 1980 and made an Animoto video on it, we are now having a tournament to see which song is the best. You can see all of our Animoto Videos here.
Hyperdocs were introduced this week. The hyperdoc is about a book we will be reading called Prairie Lotus.
We are going to be connecting with two classes from Pinellas Park, Florida and Delton, Michigan.
The Arts
We worked on our good copy of our eyes using pastel this time. All the Eyes Art can be seen on our Class Webpage.
In drama, we presented our tableaux where we said our lines and then froze. Some people took on a challenge to memorize a long speech either by themselves, or with one or two partners.
What are we looking forward to? (The Bud)
We are looking forward to hopefully getting back to normal after two people in our school tested positive for COVID-19. Hopefully, we will all be back in class and safe soon.
Quote of the Week
The quote came from Afsa this week. She wanted everyone to remember that, despite the cruelty in the world, we have to remember that it is a place of beauty too.

So far schools going great!
