Introduction:
Hello everyone, my name is Emma and I’m writing the weekly blog for our class. I’m an athletic kid and I play multiple sports. My favorite sports are basketball, soccer and football. I also love to read, draw, write, music and I am a big fan of the outdoors.

Rose:
This week, the class made pizza dough, as you might have guessed from by the quote at the start of this blog. While making the dough, we all were busy having a good time, filling the Makerspace with laughter and loud noises.

We also got to watch an excellent Freaks & Geeks episode. In it, we learned more about the character Nick and some of the mistakes he has made in his past. Nick “wears his heart on his sleeve” and that gets him into social challenges sometimes. We've been talking about plot mountains and theme for each episode as well as how two plots can work together to make a show entertaining.
Thorn:
It was a four day week, so there was no thorn.
Bud:
This week's bud is how we are all looking forward to the eclipse. It has been 15 years since Canada had a full eclipse! The eclipse is happening on April 8 and London is really close to the “path of totality”. We get the day off school to enjoy this amazing event – don't forget to get your glasses when you go outside to watch the eclipse.
Math Mentions:
This week we had our Flashback so we could show off our knowledge of ratio. Here is an example of the type of questions we should be able to answer.
Literacy:
This week, Ms. Finlayson played more of The House Of Scorpion audio book for our read-aloud. The plot is getting more interesting to listen to. I do wonder why the main character Matt is being so badly treated. We know he is a clone, but he is still human, right? We are not even halfway through, we are on chapter 4-5 and there's 38 chapters to go.
Student Appreciation:
This week we are celebrating Colton. When we were doing the pizza dough Colton took the time to help others with their dough. Colton is always a positive, polite and fun member of our class.

Tune in next week, Hana will be writing our class blog.
Next week,
